I wanted to do a precarious stack of items for this painting. Less like a backpack kind of burden, more about mental juggling. Rocks were used because I was thinking of the classic time management analogy: Add large rocks to the bottom of the jar first (highest priorities), then medium priorities, then smaller rocks and sand fill in the cracks. Reverse the order and things don’t work out so well.

I felt like this needed to be a tornado shape (swirling chaos?), and the yellow was an intuitive color choice. The dotted area around the outside represents a thought bubble. The stones are the mental storm of a million priorities that create a burden on the mind.
