Clearly I’ve been into abstracts lately. Because my work is so conceptual, I find it difficult to create something only for shape, form, and color. I’ve been trying to do more of this work. There’s a natural ebb and flow to where energy goes, and lately it’s been going into growing multiple businesses, so my brain doesn’t have the bandwidth for much more than abstracts right now.

I had sketched out a boxy abstract layout when I read this word, but wasn’t able to get around to working on this piece until participating in an Instagram art class by the amazing CATAPHANT. The abstract layering techniques we worked on were the inspiration I needed to finally create this one.
